Dubai’s AMEA Power and Japan’s Kyuden International have signed an agreement. The two companies plan to work together on energy projects. These projects will focus on renewables and green hydrogen.
The signing took place recently. It sets up a way for both sides to explore and develop clean energy solutions in different countries.
AMEA Power has projects in solar and wind with about 2,600 megawatts already in operation or being build with additional 6 GW planned across different countries.
Kyuden International is part of the Kyuden Group, a major energy company in Japan. The group brings technical experience and global know-how in power systems.
This partnership is expected to cover projects like large solar farms, wind farms, and hydrogen production powered by renewables. Both companies will also look into battery storage systems for managing power supply.
In Dubai, AMEA Power has been part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park through previous bids. These are large solar projects managed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Besides the solar park, the power mogul has looked into building solar-plus-storage setups in Jebel Ali’s industrial zone. These systems would help supply clean power to factories and desalination units. These are still in early planning.
Other smaller efforts by AMEA Power includes installing rooftop solar systems at logistics warehouses around Dubai South. These systems could range from 2 to 10 megawatts.
The new MoU with Kyuden allows the companies to pool resources and experience. The idea is to support countries that are building cleaner energy systems. Both companies said they want to work on projects that support long-term energy goals. This is the first public partnership between AMEA Power and a Japanese company.
