UAE-based National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) has announced giving a long-term credit facility to CleanMax, an Indian renewable energy company, to refinance its rooftop solar portfolio in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The partnership will likely cover around 48 operational rooftop assets in industrial facilities, malls, schools, and universities. The ALFATTAN- LtechUVC Green Energy SPC, will be setting up 200 MW class green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Abu Dhabi. The SPC (Special Purpose Company) is formed with the collaboration  between UAE-based Al Fattan Energy and South Korean renewable energy developer LTechUVC. The SPC will oversee the development of the  project with the estimated cost of approximately $400 million. Qatar has set sights on adding two more solar power plants with a combined capacity of 880 megawatts (MW) within the next two years. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has signed three new project finance loan agreements in the aggregate amount of $83.6 million as part of a $396.4 million debt financing to Masdar for the construction of three greenfield solar PV power plants in Samarkand Djizzakh and Surkhandarya regions of Uzbekistan. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has issued a senior secured loan of up to $100 million to Red Sea Wind Energy for the development, construction and operation of a new 500 MW onshore wind farm located in the Gulf of Suez area in Egypt.
