China-based solar modules manufacturer, Talesun Solar and MEM Group inked a framework agreement for strategic cooperation to work together to develop a module production line in Turkey with a 1GW annual capacity. To form a comprehensive partnership based on strategic development requirements, the two parties will take advantage of Talesun Solar’s leading advantages in technical R&D, manufacturing, quality management, sales network, and supply chain integration. By leveraging their complementary capabilities to generate mutual benefits, they will collaborate to increase their presence in global markets.

MEM Group, a premier provider of industrial equipment, manufacturing services, and electrical services, was founded in 1993. Ahmet Teyfik Paksu, vice president of MEM, said: “By the agreement, we will construct a module production line in Kahramanmaras, in south-central Turkey, with a facility size of 40,000 square meters, to reach an annual capacity of 1GW by the second quarter of 2023. The layout of the facility will be designed by Talesun Solar, and all machinery and raw materials to be used in the production will be provided by their specifications and approval.”

The strategic partnership agreement that was inked this time shows Talesun Solar’s drive and commitment to working together on a worldwide scale. In Turkey, Talesun Solar holds a 20% market share for PV systems, and the new module production facility is scheduled to formally begin operations in 2023. We hope to swiftly reach steady mass production, thus we intend to install the most recent TOPCon technology production line in the facility in 2024. To satisfy the needs of various consumers, we will also continually improve the design and production methods. remarked Pnar Eser, regional sales manager for Europe for Talesun Solar.

Talesun Solar, one of the top producers of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules worldwide, has amassed substantial technical expertise in high-performance photovoltaic cells and modules. The firm has advantages in production capacity and mass production technology that are unmatched in the industry. Talesun Solar stands out from its competitors due to two characteristics: innovation and a business strategy based on creating relationships that benefit both parties. This combination has been successful. Additionally, it would enable Talesun Solar to keep offering top-notch solutions for international photovoltaic market applications while fostering the adoption of PV solutions in Turkey by supplying high-quality goods. The worldwide solar industry benefits from these efforts continuingly.
