TrinaTracker, a business unit of Trinasolar and a leading global provider of smart solar tracking solutions, has signed a contract to supply 363 MW of solar tracker systems for a photovoltaic power plant in Uzbekistan’s Navoi region. This major order marks another milestone for TrinaTracker in Central Asia, reaffirming the company’s technological expertise, proven product reliability, and strong project execution.

With this project, TrinaTracker’s cumulative supplied capacity in Uzbekistan will surpass 1 GW, underscoring the company’s deepening commitment to the country’s renewable energy development.

A Partnership Strengthened by Trust

Following a series of successful collaborations in the Navoi region, TrinaTracker has once again earned the customer’s trust to jointly set a new benchmark for green energy development in Uzbekistan.

The 363 MW Navoi project, invested by China Energy Engineering Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., one of China’s leading energy construction enterprises, will incorporate 7,267 sets of TrinaTracker’s Vanguard 1P single-axis tracking systems.

Overcoming Extreme Conditions with Technical Expertise

Located in a region with harsh climatic conditions and complex geology, the project faced significant environmental and engineering challenges. The area experiences summer temperatures up to 48°C, wind speeds reaching 52.3 m/s, and a hard pebble surface layer with particles as large as 200 mm, making construction particularly demanding.

Leveraging its strong technical expertise and extensive project experience, TrinaTracker developed a tailored solution to ensure long-term system reliability. The Vanguard 1P tracker, validated through comprehensive structural analysis and wind tunnel testing, demonstrates exceptional resistance to high winds and extreme temperatures, guaranteeing stable performance over a 25-year lifespan.

To overcome the geological challenges, the project adopted an innovative micro-pile grouting foundation design that enhances both construction efficiency and structural stability. During the design phase, TrinaTracker worked closely with the design institute, conducting multiple rounds of optimization based on precise wind tunnel data to deliver a robust, high-quality solution.

The project supports Uzbekistan’s national strategy to increase the share of renewable energy generation to 25% by 2030, playing an important role in the country’s clean energy transition and sustainable growth. Once operational, it will generate approximately 700 million kWh of clean electricity annually—equivalent to avoiding 220,000 tons of standard coal consumption and reducing 600,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

“We are honored to once again take part in Uzbekistan’s green energy development,” said Álvaro García Maltrás, President of TrinaTracker. “The successful signing of the Navoi project reflects the market’s confidence in our brand and capabilities. We remain committed to delivering high-quality projects and ensuring reliable long-term operation, contributing to a more sustainable future.”

Through this project, TrinaTracker continues to contribute to Uzbekistan’s renewable energy ambitions and to global carbon neutrality efforts.
