Zero Carbon Ventures has collaborated with the Green Planet for Sustainable Environmental Solutions. This marks a significant step towards a sustainable future and a strategic net-zero agenda in Egypt.

As per the firm, the establishment of Zero Carbon Green Planet (ZCGP) in Abu Dhabi Global Markets reflects a deep commitment to addressing environmental challenges while driving economic development.

According to ZCGP’s mission, the implementation of a groundbreaking, patent-pending technology is designed to address waste gas emissions and organic waste at an unprecedented scale. This innovative system, developed by Zero Carbon Ventures, not only mitigates the release of greenhouse gases like methane and CO2 but also transforms waste into valuable commodities such as graphene, hydrogen, and fertilizers.

By 2025 the first phase of project at the 15 May landfill site will be operational. The accelerated timeline is testament to ZCGP’s unwavering commitment to economic development and combatting climate change. On completion in 2027, this first of a kind advanced manufacturing process will employ up to 250 people, process 400 tonnes of organic waste per day whilst preventing thousands of tonnes of methane and CO2 from escaping into the atmosphere, said the firm in its note.

Martin Reynolds, CEO and Co-Founder of Zero Carbon Ventures, emphasises the importance of building a circular economy that redefines traditional production and consumption patterns, thereby promoting environmental sustainability and economic innovation.

Dr. Mohammed Asaad, Chairman of Green Planet, highlights the importance of innovation and growth for Egypt, expressing enthusiasm for the partnership’s potential to deliver impactful projects and introduce new technology to the region.

According to Dr. Tarek El-Araby, CEO of Waste Management Regulatory Authority,”The collaborative efforts of Zero Carbon Ventures and Green Planet, recognizing the venture’s significant contribution to advancing the circular economy and positioning Egypt as a hub for sustainable industrial practices.”

By leveraging state-of-the-art technology and local operational expertise, the partnership aims to create job opportunities, drive advanced manufacturing, and promote sustainable prosperity in the region.

Moreover, ZCGP is committed to fostering cutting-edge research and investment in transformative technologies, particularly focusing on harnessing the potential of graphene and other pioneering materials to drive a new clean industrial revolution in Egypt and beyond.
