Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has selected the state-owned renewable energy firm Masdar for the construction and management of the 1,800-megawatt (MW) phase 6 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Saudi Arabia firm ACWA Power has installed one of the largest wind turbines in Central Asia, in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.
