IFC – International Finance Corporation recently visited the solar power plant of Dubai’s AMEA Power. AMEA Power is a renewable energy company from Middle East with its headquarter in Dubai.

On its social media post, the company apprised the public about the recent development. “Last week a delegation from the IFC – International Finance Corporation, led by Saad Sabrah, IFC Egypt Country Head, and Jurgen von Borries, IFC Principal Environmental Specialist for Africa, visited our 500MW Abydos Solar PV and 500MW Amunet Wind sites in Egypt,” the company said.

It also said that this visit was a greet opportunity for the team to see the construction progress of both projects, financed by IFC. “Furthermore, we showcased our top-tier health, safety and environmental standards, as well as our commitment to local employment and community development,” it said.

It also added, “During the week, we also signed a partnership agreement with Nature Conservation Egypt (NCE). This agreement focused on the retrofitting of overhead power lines in the Gulf of Suez area, contributing to the protection of thousands of migratory birds annually. At AMEA Power, we are developing renewable energy projects that power a brighter tomorrow.”
