A new solar system is being made in the UAE. It is being built by Al Masaood Energy. The system is made for large-scale energy use, including oil and gas operations. Most of the parts used in the system are made in the country.

The company says around 80 percent of the materials are locally produced. This includes steel and structural parts. Emirates Steel and Tiger Steel are among the suppliers. The support frames for the solar panels use I-beams. These are made with steel from factories in the UAE and shaped by companies like EG-Steel.

This solar system is the third type the company has developed. The design and engineering were done inside the UAE. It was shown during the “Make it in the Emirates” event. This is done to rely less on imported equipment and grow a local energy industry.

The system is meant to be used in open land, on rooftops, and in places where oil and gas work happens. The design helps reduce emissions without disrupting existing operations. It can also support power needs in remote desert areas.

The technology is being used to plan new solar stations. These sites will feed clean electricity to industrial facilities. Testing shows the system performs better than many older imported ones, especially under high temperatures.

In other UAE locations, smaller solar systems are being used. In Ras Al Khaimah, farms are running irrigation with small solar panels. A school in Fujairah has installed panels on its roof. They produce enough electricity to power lights, fans, and water pumps during the day. These smaller efforts show steady growth in solar use.
